After watching best friend and fellow Monster Energy Athlete Xavier Bertoni win ‘09 WX SuperPipe gold, Kevin Rolland wanted his hands on his own X-Games Gold.

Kevin worked his butt off all year, and the effort paid off when the Frenchman won both Winter X 2010 and the inaugural Winter X Europe in 2010. A progressive risk taker, Rolland made Skiing SuperPipe history at WX 2010 for the following feats: he threw three doubles in the same run, he linked two of them back-to-back and he stuck the first double cork 1260 mute grab. He was hands down in a league of his own.... impressive to say the least.

Fast forward to January 2011 and Kevin Roland is standing at the top of the cold pipe at the Winter X Final in Aspen, positioned in 5th place about to drop in on his final run, a double 9 to alley-oop flat 3 to switch 7 to switch 9 to double cork 12 all perfectly executed with the effortless style you expect which earned him a 93.66, more than enough to get to the top spot and earn his third X-Games Gold.
