Karel Abraham was born on 2nd of January 1990 in Brno and from Bystrc, where he used to live, it was just few kilometres to Masaryk circuit and motorbikes. First racing tried Karel on skis, but eventually won the love for motorbikes.
He tried minibikes first, but already in 2003 had sat on his first 200ccm motorbike and finished third in the championship of the Czech Republic in the junior category in Honda´s racing seat. A year later he repeated the place and added sixth place among adult category.
A year later he competed in the World Championship already. First time he reached points in the season 2006, but just a year later headed to the higher class – 250ccm category.
One step below the royal cubature remained Karel until 2010. In the new Moto2 cubature finished third in Japan and a few weeks after the race has announced a move into the royal MotoGP category. Among the elite came in style – Karel won the last race of the season Moto2 in Valencia.
In 2011 he finished six times in MotoGP and placed in the Top Ten, and he narrowly escaped the title of rookie of the year , grappled with experienced Cal Crutchlow still on his fateful last mile on the track in Valencia.
