About Glamour Of The Kill

Glamour of the Kill, also referred to as GOTK, are a highly-rated Metalcore band from York in the UK. They started in 2003 and signed with record label, Siege of Amida in 2008.

Founded as The Red Room Theory, the band completed an EP titled Invitations.  A name change took place in the early days after a friend suggested to them the name, Glamour of the Kill.

Tours with Bullet for My Valentine, Darkest Hour and Avenged Sevenfold came from the bands mainstream popularity, assisted by a Metal Hammer 10/10 review of their debut self-released album, Through the Darkness They March. Local critics also gave the band high ratings after their EP release and name change.

In 2008, the band sealed a deal with independent label, Siege of Amida Records. They then had a contract and released another EP self titled, Glamour of the Kill which contained a re-recorded version of the popular track Rise from Your Grave from the previous EP. The same happened with this self titled EP as their debut one. It hit high ratings from critics throughout the UK. They were also part of the main stage at 2008’s Download Festival.

Still under the same label, the band is currently in the recording studio working on new material. They announced that their debut full length album would be called, The Summoning, and will be aiming to release it for Spring 2010.

The current Glamour of the Kill line-up is:
Davey – Lead Vocals, Bass
Chris – backing vox, Guitar
Mikey – Guitar Backing Vocals
Ben – Drums, Backing Vocals

This band has all the original members from when they first started out, which is great as they must have a good bond going on, and don’t fail to please on the stage, either!

They are touring the UK, starting March 3rd with special guests, Yashin on their In for the Kill headline tour.
