Soon after the sun powered out the rain, 20 riders from around the World dropped in on a unique, urban slopestyle course in scenic Old Quebec City, which eventually saw Monster Energy`s Brett Rheeder
taking the crown along with the sweet 10K and bragging rights that came with it.
In Brett`s second major contest win in as many weeks, he treated the gasping onlookers to a dizzying show of flips and spins, that scored him consistently in the 90`s, the only rider to do so all day.
A late crash that red-flagged the starters and a freak monsoon (to those of us don`t live in Quebec
) swept in just before the final rides, forced the organizers call it and Brett`s score stood up.
When the storm subsided, many of the riders (some of them scantily clad
), treated the remaining spectators to a demo that ended in a free outdoor concert featuring Florida`s "Against Me"
A raucous after-party then ensued at the Imperial de Quebec headlined by North Vancouver`s, Madchild.
