About Deaf Havana

Deaf Havana are a four-piece Southern Rock/Post-Hardcore band from Norfolk, England. Originally starting out with a more ´Rock´ sound, they gained a large fanbase across the East of England, for providing an intense live show, lighter than most bands on the bill. Following the self release of their first EP ´Evangeline´ and 100th show, they changed their line up (Rinn from Guitars to Vocals, swapping with James) and subsequently their sound. In 2008 they signed to A Wolf At Your Door Records and sharply released their critically acclaimed debut Mini-Album ‘It´s Called The Easy Life’. They toured this record extensively gaining mass coverage, everything from Metal Hammer magazine to Kerrang TV. Now in 2009, the band has completed work on their debut full length album ‘Meet Me Halfway, At Least’, an absolute ball rockin’ record. The departure from their previous southern rock swagger is apparent, as the band didn´t wish to be stagnant or pigeon holed into a dying scene, when they are clearly capable of much more, every song on the album is as catchy as the next, and still as rock as ever.

A few days after announcing the departure of Ryan, Deaf Havana released a new demo track on Myspace and Facebook, entitled "My Life Is Average" which was an instant hit. On August 13, 2010 the band released a new demo track through their Facebook page entitled "Home Sweet Home". The band´s new single "Smiles All Round" was played on the BBC Daniel P Carter rock show, on September 21, 2010. The band supported You Me at Six, along with Kids in Glass Houses and The Blackout, for a Halloween special at The Regal in Oxford. The band confirmed via Twitter on 19th February that the recording of their sophomore full length was underway. The album was completed in late summer 2011. The title, Fools and Worthless Liars was made public on 23rd September 2011. The album is to be released on 7th November. These boys are getting bigger and bigger as the days go by, keep on eye on them!
