Greg is one of the most popular guys in Speedway and has been at the top of his game for over 15 years. The Californian speedster is the only rider to compete in every single Speedway Grand Prix event since it started, racking up 36 podiums in 133 starts. Herbie won his first world title in ’97 and then had to wait 14 years before lifting the trophy again when he rampaged his way to the championship in 2011. Despite his advanced years, Greg was not afraid to get tough with the young guys and he left them eating dirt time and time again.

In the best form of his life at 41, he isn’t afraid to chase the dirt and can be as hard as he needs to be, giving him a ruthless streak that has made him one of the most respected riders on the GP circuit. His relaxed manner has gained him fans all over Europe, especially in Sweden where he lives with his wife and two boys, Wilbur and Bill. Smooth, stylish and consistent, eight-times American champ Hancock is the guy that all young American riders look up to when starting their career, and don’t be surprised to see him at the top of the Grand Prix standings in 2012.
