From a competition standpoint in 2012 Monster Energy Supercross’ all-time greatest racer was again highly active on the Lucas Oil Off-Road Series, contesting every race this season and placing 5th overall in the PRO 2 class. Also on his dirt bike a lot in 2012 – with cameras in pursuit - McGrath’s video parts ranged from Spy Optics’ Del Moto Derby, to cool shoots with Transworld MX and DC Shoes, along with hosting a ride day at Thing Valley Ranch. McGrath also found time to start up a new SX/MX team with longtime buddy Larry Brooks and backed by Supercross.com. But it was McGrath’s work with the bone marrow registry company bethematch.com that stood out most in 2012 – a highly worthy cause that Monster Army members are urged to look into.
