The former Formula Drift overall champion battled back valiantly in 2012 after a down 2011 season, nailing back-to-back wins at rounds four and five of the series and scoring 529 points to place 2nd overall in the championship points chase. In October of 2012 Gittin’s “2nd Shift Drift” video dropped, featuring Gittin drifting around the property of Ford’s Michigan Flat Rock Assembly plant where all the Mustangs are built. Gittin was also featured on Monster Energy skater Rob Dyrdek’s MTV show “Ridiculousness.”
