Tomas Vintr was born in a little town called Beroun, located just 20km west from the Czech capital, Prague. After trying pretty much every single sport available, he was looking for a change. The most important change came in 1995, when walking home from his swimming trainig, he got hurt by a little kid, playing in a park and got his achilees tendon cut. After not being able to walk for a few months, he found himself in a situation where he wanted to do something on his own, without being dependent on his team, couch and having to come for trainings at exactly scheduled time everyday. Yes, this was just the perfect time to start Skateboarding. Tomas decided to move to Prague at the age of 18 and started travelling a year after. Within a few years he was skating major competitions around the World, going for skateboard tours and shooting photo content for worldwide skateboard magazines. Tomas is currently living in Prague, Czech Republic, but frequently travelling to Melbourne and Los Angeles to do what he loves most – skateboarding.
