Heidi Steele

The queen of Baja wears the Monster “M.” Past Dirt Sports magazine “Driver of the Year” recipient (’09) and multi-time SCORE International class champion, Heidi Steele is a woman among men – so to speak – in the rough and rugged world of desert off-road racing. A heavy hitting executive in the home health care industry by weekday, Steele peels out of her business attire like Superwoman, spinning into her Monster Energy-emblazoned Nomex and blasting off on the weekends into the desert in search of thrills, victory and the American way (or something to that effect). Probably somewhere between being drug kicking and screaming into the world of off-road and kicking and screaming until her husband, Monster Energy off-roader Cameron Steele, convinced his fraternal off-road buddies it’d be alright to bring his hyper-cool wife along – and let here drive - Heidi Steele was adopted by the off-road racing community. And it wasn’t but a year later, in 2005, that she’d win her class in the SCORE 1,000. Numerous SCORE championships and one Best in the Desert championships later and Heidi Steele has earned her keep in the male-dominated world of desert off-road racing.
