Formed in 2005 by vocalist Nathi Louw, the band went through a name change
and a number of bassists before Smokey exploded onto the scene in 2008. In
2010 Tumi Mothei joined the band after they saw him performing with highly
acclaimed South African act, Heroes Wear Red. The evolution to the
revolution had taken shape and Pimville’s interpretation of rock n roll was
ready to hit the scene.
What can you expect to hear from today’s Ree-Burth:-
High energy
Raw
Powerful Rock and Roll
Spine chilling Solos and
Organic vocal melodies
that are perfectly infused over toe tapping grooves
…….. is the ReeBurth experience.
And Now
We are back with a brand new live set and new tracks. That doesn’t mean the
foot stomping, head banging classics are going to disappear, we now add
substance to an ever growing musical catalogue. Reuniting with long time
sponsors Monster Energy has energised the boys and we are ready to rock
out a venue near you.
This year saw ReeBurth featuring in multiple Pan African Woolworths
campaign’s that put their faces in Woolworths branches and TV’s across
homes all through Africa.
Amidst all the excitement the band embraced studio life and compiled NEW
music for its countrywide fanbase. Your chance to hear it live begins in
October. Keep an eye on their facebook and twitter pages for details as they
are released.
