At only 15-years-old the little Japanese halfpipe rider may be small in stature but he more tha names up for it with his riding ability. With amplitude that is shoulders above the competition, style well beyond his years and a technical ability of the highest order. Ayumu burst onto the scene as a 14-year-old, taking podiums at X Games, the US Open, the BEO and NZ World Cup. The Hirano-train kept rolling into the 2014 season as Ayumu took home the silver medal at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. With some of the sport’s greatest hardware already under his belt, the world will wait with bated breath to see what Ayumu does next.
