The final member of Yamaha Monster Energy’s MX1 Grand Prix ‘Flight’, Anthony Boissiere is also the third French rider in the six-man crew revealing what an embarrassment of riches the country currently holds when it comes to the most exciting and demanding form of off-road motorcycle racing. Boissiere has battled injury problems in recent years but when fit has been a pacey member of the pack.

He burst to prominence in 2005 and was the first of a generation of race winners that would include Pourcel, Musquin, Frossard, Paulin, Aubin and more. Likeable, experienced and a viable top ten runner in the premier class Boissiere is still capable of surprises as his speedy performances with Grand Prix ‘minnows’ the TM factory in 2010 testified.

Boissiere boasts race-winning pedigree after MX2 success in France and South Africa in ’05 and lifted a podium trophy in 2009 to prove that when fit and on-song the 25 year old is an authentic dark horse. He will steer a YZ450F for the Italian Gariboldi set-up in 2011 and arrives into the Monster Energy family for the first time in what will be just his second campaign on the MX1 stage.
