On an awe-inspiring stage for racing and in front of 42,000 noisy fans Team CP377 Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Christophe Pourcel was superlative to win the first moto by a massive one and a half minutes despite starting from 20th in the gate.

Roan and his Frentec Monster Energy Kawasaki team made the trip to eastern Germany for the North-West European Championships 85cc. Roan showed great speed but a DNF kept him from a top overall result.

The track was as much of a character as the riders themselves on this first of two South American flyaways. The dusty conditions on Saturday even caused the riders to group together and sit out the qualification heats.

The CP377 Monster Energy Pro Circuit racer thrilled 17,000 Italian fans soaking up the sunshine close to the coast in eastern Italy with a titanic battle with fellow Kawasaki rider Gautier Paulin in the first moto.
