Monster Energy Monster Energy

United States
Straight out of Kremmling, Colorado, 33 year-old Chris Burandt is arguably the world´s best all around snowmobiler. Chris helped pioneer the sport of snowmobile freestyle, so much that in the early 2000´s, he acquired the nickname "Big Air Burandt." The 2007 Winter X Games Snowmobile Freestyle Gold Medalist, Burandt began slashing and roosting Mother Nature’s frozen H2O at age six, soon to move into racing. Successful in his competitive exploits, the Monster Energy rider ultimately found himself somewhat apathetic to the rigors and repetition of racing, his wandering eye more trained on conquering the most gnarly and mountainous terrain conceivable, as well as jumping off cliffs, jumps and ridges with an intrepid confidence that had never been seen before.
To that end, in 1999, snowmobile cinematographer Jason Moriarty, founder of the wildly popular Slednecks series of videos, cast Burandt in a film with world-renowned snowmobile icons Blair Morgan and Tucker Hibbert. Slednecks 3 was launched later that autumn and the fine people of the snowmobile community, jaws on the ground, were introduced to Burandt and his otherworldly, supernatural talents on a sled. Now the proprietor of Burandt’s Backcountry Adventure (where he takes clients on the rides of their lives), Burandt pushes backcountry riding to a whole new level sharing with clients all he has learned, including a revolutionary new methodology for backcountry riding.
