Daniel Watkins

In 1997 Daniel Watkins clinched his first of three Australian National Title, an event hosted at a rural Caravan Park on the New South Wales Coast of Australia. Since then hundreds of thousands of frequent flyer miles have added the illustrious titles of 2004 World Series Champion and 2004 World Cup Champion to his name. While back in his homeland he remains to be unbeaten with 3 back-to-back Pro Tour Titles.

Along with his double backroll, 900`s and signature method roll to blind his trump card is CONSISTENCY. The last four years have seen Watkins stake claim to a podium position on the US Pro Tour and in the last 6 years has not dropped from the top 10 on every international series. This creates a limelight around Watkins and a favourite with journalists, TV presenters and magazine editors.

Beyond the competition stage his unique approach, creativity and innovation are notable. US Wakeboarding Magazine Readers voted him 3rd favourite rider in the world in 2004 and in Australia he has been voted Australia`s favourite rider.

9 years on from the day he strapped on his first wakeboard, Watkins continues to travel the world, pushing his personal boundaries, developing the industries leading products in performance and sales and spreading the love to the millions of people who witness him wakeboard every year.
