After quite the hiatus, drifting returned to the Middle East on December 30th as the all-new Monster Energy Emirates Drift Championship (EDC) kicked off in the amazing setting of Abu Dhabi’s empty region desert as part of the epic 2018 Liwa Sports Festival.

After a season of domination, finishing on the podium in each of the eleven races, before sealing the championship in its final round. Mahmoud Tannir took the crown for the 3rd time.

With some new surprises, they brought the most outrageous Monster Energy Off-Road machinery imaginable - The Doonies journeyed back to the Glamis Sand Dunes of California to wreak havoc and go bigger then ever!
