Rider #974
Even though he didn’t begin his freestyle motocross career until the age of 18, when it comes to technical skill and style in freestyle motocross there may not be anyone better than Jarryd McNeil. Like so many other Aussie freestylers, McNeil’s talent has had a big influence on the sport’s progression. With racing roots providing the foundation for his immense talent, McNeil has become a dominant force in FMX in a matter of a decade. At the X Games he’s become the proverbial king of both Best Whip and Step Up, capturing a total of nine gold medals between the two events. Those nine medals ties him for the most of any moto athlete in X Games history, while his haul of 15 total medals is the most for any Australian. McNeil’s decorated résumé also includes wins in Biggest Whip and Quarter Pipe Big Air at the Monster Energy Cup, effectively positioning him as one of the all-time greats in the history of FMX.
