The 2021 FIM Superbike World Championship got things rolling in staging the Czech Republic round at the Autodrom Most circuit, a 2.623-mile, 21-turn facility recently added to the Superbike World Championship calendar. Monster Energy’s Scott Redding fought a fierce opening race battle with Yamaha rider Toprak Razgatlioglu, placing second in the opening 22-lap race by an eyeblink margin of +0.040s. Sunday was also a big day for Monster Energy’s Scott Redding. The Ducati ace won race two and was runner-up in the 10-lap Tissot Superpole Race. Reigning champion and Superbike points leader Jonathan Rea crashed twice on Saturday before bouncing back on Sunday to place third in both Race Two and the Superpole race. Claiming his 200th podium finish in WorldSBK on Sunday, Rea still holds onto the FIM Superbike World Championship points lead, while Redding and Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK racer Alex Lowes holds down third and fourth positions in the fight for the world title.



The MXGP Motocross World Championship held the MXGP of Latvia at the sweeping and sandy Kegums circuit on Sunday afternoon. Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team rider Maxime Renaux dominated the day with a fantastic 1-1 overall victory. Second overall in Latvia fell to Renaux’ Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 teammate Jago Geerts of Belgium. Renaux now leads the MX2 World Championship and will defend his lead next month when the MXGP World Championship resumes with the MXGP of Turkey. The premier MXGP classification also lined up and raced in Latvia, with former World Champion Romain Febvre of the Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team placing fourth overall.



MotoGP promoted the Michelin Grand Prix of Styria over the weekend at the 2.683-mile, 10-turn Red Bull Ring. Monster Energy’s Joan Mir of Team Suzuki Ecstar raced to a runner-up finish, followed across the finish line in Austria by Monster Energy rider Fabio Quartararo of the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team. Frenchman Quartararo now commands a 40-point lead in the 2021 MotoGP World Championship. In Moto2 action, SKY Racing Team VR46 racer Marco Bezzecchi claiming the victory by 1.71 seconds over Aron Canet. Monster Energy’s Bezzecchi now moves to third in the Moto2 World Championship.



The Monster Energy Speedway Grand Prix series saw the Orlen Lublin FIM Speedway Grand Prix Poland take place over the weekend at Stadion Miejski – Lublin, Poland. Monster Energy rider Freddie Lindgren placed third and fourth over the two nights of racing. Fellow Monster Energy rider Tai Woffinden finished sixth and seventh over the two nights of competition. Up next: The 2021 Swedish Speedway Grand Prix set for Skrotfrag Arena on August 14.



Monster Energy wheelman Ty Gibbs competed in the Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey 200 at The Glen at Watkins Glen International on Saturday afternoon. The teenaged stock car prodigy raced to yet another victory in the #18 Monster Energy Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing. Leading 43 of 82 laps to claim his third NASCAR Xfinity Series victory in ten assorted starts this season, Gibbs has also won at the Daytona road course and at the Charlotte oval in 2021. It should also be noted that Ty Gibbs competed in the ARCA Menards Series’ Clean Harbors 100 at The Glen on Saturday afternoon.



Monster Energy’s Loris Vergier won the European Downhill Championships in Maribor with a time of 2:56.67, 0.43 seconds ahead of silver medalist Benoit Coulanges. He also took two World Cup wins in Maribor last October, giving him an impressive track record on the twisty, technical course. Monster Energy teammate Danny Hart took third place.
