Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, teenage sensation Gaon Choi is starting her snowboard halfpipe career on a strong foundation. Mastering technical tricks beyond her age bracket? Check. Effortless style and penchant for blasting super high airs? Yes, and yes. Practically raised riding a snowboard, Gaon can also throw down on four wheels at skateparks and vert ramps. Competing in snowboard halfpipe at the junior level, she already put down an undefeated season – winning four Nor-Am Cups – and clinched the 2022 FIS Junior World Championships title.
