Rea runner-up in Germany and still on-course for historic title

The fast, bumpy asphalt and intimidating concrete arena seating and fences of the Lausitzing was the platform for the Prosecco DOC German Round of 2017 WorldSBK and the meeting that switched the calendar back into play after a summer break. Round nine of thirteen was the domain of Ducati’s Chaz Davies but Kawasaki Racing Team’s reigning World Champion, Jonathan Rea, racked up more podium finishes to sit pretty at the top of the standings.

Febvre makes it happen in Swedish MXGP with first 2017 podium finish

Daylight lingers longer around Uddevalla than any other round of the MXGP series but it was also Monster Energy Yamaha’s Romain Febvre who shone that bit brighter at a busy Grand Prix of Sweden and the sixteenth chase of nineteen. The FIM World Championship journeyed to the further point north on its global trek and as the season hurries to a conclusion with events in the USA, Holland and France still to go. Uddevalla came back into the MXGP picture after a year in the shade and the thundery climate and frequent showers helped churn the undulating hard-pack layout into a slick but attackable layout.

Monster Energy HRC firing strong on two continents

Dispersed across the two Americas, Monster Energy Honda are again protagonists in two major international rally events: Kevin Benvides and Paolo Goncalves have just finished second and third overall after five hard and gnarly days in Chile for the Atacama Rally and the third round of the 2017 FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship and Joan Barreda and Ricky Brabec are poised to gun the CRF450 Rally 860km (540 miles) across the Nevada desert in the Vegas to Reno iconic race; a dash which Catalan Barreda conquered twelve months ago.
