The signature event celebrates the relationship between Cadrona and 2016 Winter X Games gold medallist, Jossi Wells, that spans over 20 years.
“Cardrona is my home mountain; I learnt how to ski here & spent every winter riding at Cardrona since I could walk.” - Jossi Wells
Monster Energy presents an epic activation area with cans of Monster Energy samples, our beautiful Monster Energy girls for plenty of selfie opportunities and sick tunes. The finals take place on Friday September 15 so head up to Skyline Ridge for an amazing view-point of the Monster Big Air.
The all-star line up of athletes expected to join Wells includes Olympic Gold Medallist Snowboarders Sage Kotsenburg & Jamie Anderson, fellow Belgium snowboarder Sebbe De Buck, NZ local Will Jackways, and British skiing sensation James Woods.
“I’m super hyped I get to go to Jossi’s event this year. He is the sickest dude and the setup looks insane. Plus Wanaka is the sickest town to hang out after riding with the homies.” - Sebbe De Buck
“I am definitely planning on hitting that jump. I was really bummed I missed out on it last year so I am counting the days until the event. We have a sick shred crew heading out there this year so it will be all time!!” - Sage Kotsenburg
This year Jossi is also adding a skate jam at the Wanaka Skate Park on Saturday September 16 and Monster will be there to present all the kickflippin’ action.
