CLICK ON THE MOUNTAIN 2016 – THE VIDEO EDITION ENDS WITH BANGERS!

Simon Gruber showing how high he can slash powder.Courmayeur greeted the competitors with blue skies and powderfields on the first day and heavy snow on the second and third day. Each team chose their own approach to collect the first pictures and video footage. While some went up high right away and scoped freeride lines, others started with playful action in the forest. Cliff jumps, windlips, backflips and pow turns – photo and video cameras were clicking and rolling while the riders showcased their prowess.

Jacob Wester going huge in powder jump – photo: Ethan StoneMonster Energy athlete Jacob Wester threw some banger tricks off the cliffs and huge jumps in fresh snow, and Simon Gruber showcased his unique skills in big powder slashes and huge jumps through the woods, winning the Best Action shot (photographer Roby Bragotto). The two, being part of two different teams, displayed the most spectacular action we could imagine out of those instable weather conditions.

A large crowd gathered at Jardin de l’Ange on Saturday evening to finally see what the teams came up with. Applause went up as the first moving images flickered over the screen and spectators witnessed the high level of trickery, riding and artistic skills!
