Aussie charger Chris Holder may only be 27 but he’s packed more into his career so far than some speedway veterans.

A five-time Australian champion, Chris shocked the sport back in 2012 when he became the youngest man to lift the Speedway World Championship trophy after a dream season that even he didn’t expect.

It’s not always been plain-sailing for the Sydneysider though, disaster struck in 2013 when he broke his pelvis, heel and arm in a huge crash in the British league and at one stage his whole career was in doubt.

He worked his way back to fitness though and 2014 saw him finish 7th in the SGP Series while also leading Australia to a bronze medal in the Monster Energy Speedway World Cup, and now he’s finally back to full strength.

Off the track he’s as laid back as they come but as soon as he puts his helmet on Chris can be as ruthless and tough as anyone in the world, and 2015 could be the year he’s back at the very top of the standings fighting for the world title again.
