This past weekend hosted the final round of the 2019 Triple Crown series at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, ON. Both Monster Energy Alpinestars Piller's Kawasaki team riders rode hard on the indoor track and concluded the season strong. Matt Goerke climbed on top of the podium in the 450 class, and Tyler Medaglia podiumed after a tight battle in the 250 class for the lead.
In the 450 Pro class, the determined Matt Goerke and his KX450 qualified 2nd, grabbed the holeshot in his heat race before leading the majority of the laps. A small mistake near the end cost him the lead, but his 2nd place finish still put him in a good position for the main event. For the final gate drop of the season, Goerke took off and powered quickly to the front of the pack and didn’t stop until the checkered flag hailed his victory.
In the 250 Pro class, Tyler Medaglia was coming off a dominate win in Quebec City aboard his KX250. Medaglia qualified first in the 250 class, won his heat race and crossed the finish line in 3rd place. To conclude the 2019 season, Tyler also accumulated 488 points in the Triple Crown series, giving him 2nd place in the overall championship.
