Nicolas Hamilton comes to Canada to race (CXE) Side-By-Side at GP3R

Nicolas Hamilton takes Canada by Storm in his CXE SXS Buggy Debut

Aug 142017

Even though he had never done so before, when Nic Hamilton agreed to switch from Touring cars to CXE Side by Side buggys to compete at the 2017 Grand Prix du Trois-Rivieres, he went all in and was a legitimate threat till the end.

“I'm hoping my story can help inspire other people, whether they are disabled or able bodied. I’m just trying to push the boat out and show people what is possible if you have a positive mindset. I’m proud of what I’ve done so far and I still have quite a lot to do as well - Nic Hamilton.”

He had never even sat inside the superquad until the day before and had never raced in wet & muddy conditions on a Rallycross track, yet his lap times continually got quicker and quicker.  In Q3, he grabbed the holeshot and led most the way until contacting a wall which left him pointing the wrong way on the track.  He recovered and only ended up losing one position.  Nic was completely in the mix in all the heats until the final when engine troubles forced him to bow out.

The big story here is the grit and determination of a man who overcame multiple obstacles to be where he is today.

Nic has told his story so many times, that as an interviewer, you really don't even need to ask questions, you just mic him up and say "Go!"  In fact, you can hear it for yourself.  Watch for the interview dropping soon!
