DIYX STRT JAM Innsbruck 2022 - Snowboarding

Nov 282022

It's here, it’s wild and it’s tight as hell! Prepare your eyes and eardrums for the STRT Jam 2022 after movie.

The most important event in snowboarding”- Sage Kotsenburg

DIYX STRT Jam Innsbruck was too lit to quit! The entire snowboard industry and media pulled up strong, mobbing deep through the city streets, serving up bangers and stash across multiple days of pure unadulterated street-riding mayhem.

Featuring next level tech rail mastery, sleep deprived sends and some of the wildest ghetto setups on the planet. Not to mention 30+ of the world’s best street pioneers on hand to fix up some extra crispy tricks. And yes, that’s a ring of fire fixed on top of a van!

Main instigator and event host, DIYX STRT Jam brainchild and long-time Monster rider Ethan Morgan, along with the fine folks at Method Mag have created something truly special that unites the snowboarding community outside of the stale and sanctioned competitive events calendar. Zak Hale claims - “It’s the event of the year…” and you can’t really argue with that.

It was the Monster Energy squad that took some of the top honours over the weekend, killing spot after spot on some risky signature DIYX setups. Darcy Sharpe went the distance with an outrageous back tail 270 down one of the longest street rails of the sesh to take men's best trick.  Monster Army rider Dillon Henricksen sent the whole crowd wild shutting the Tivoli spot down on day two with his backflip ender through the ring of fire. To crown the festivities, it was Finland’s best export Rene Rinnekangas who took the ‘Ripper of the Week’ award by destroying every setup he dropped in on with impeccable style to boot and a bonkers gab-to-backside 270-to-boardslide on the final day setup.
