A veteran a pioneer of the sport of Jet Ski/Personal Water Craft (PWC), Monster’s Chris MacClugage has parlayed his blazing speed and radical moves aboard the popular Kawasaki water craft into a career, boasting many racing wins over the years and helping raise the bar on the PWC free-riding craze. An Arizona (Lake Havasu City) transplant by way of Naples, Fla.
MacClugage has been competing aboard the stand-up Jet Skis and their sit-down, aka “runabout,” counterparts PWCs since the early 1990s. More recently MacClugage has won a number of closed course titles on both the International Jet Ski Boat Association (IJSBA) and Japanese Jet Sports Boat Association (JJSBA) tours, then latter of which he won the premier x2 class in 2008. This Oct., 10-12, MacClugage will look to regain the IJSBA World Championship title – considered the Super Bowl of PWC racing – held in his hometown of Lake Havasu
