Rene Rinnekangas is your favorite snowboarder's favorite snowboarder. Always smiling and always ready to send it, the Finnish upstart will slay any obstacle with technical street wizardry and is known to find the most insane gaps and transfers thanks to a unique eye for mayhem. A true all-terrain vehicle (ATV), Rene holds it down against the best of them in Slopestyle, Big Air, Rail Jam, Knuckle Huck, and even SuperPipe (he competed in halfpipe as a youth). His snowboarding journey started alongside his older brother, Riko, in the small town of Iisalmi, Finland. After earning his stripes on the am circuit and attracting viral video buzz with the Finnish 292 Crew, Rene finally turned pro for Rome Snowboards in 2019. When he's not out snowboarding, skating or riding his moped, Rene applies his perpetual stoke to playing bass guitar in his brother's punk band, Kätfish. You can never know what Rene is about to do next – but you sure don't want to miss it!
