He then began road racing professionally immediately after his 16th birthday (per AMA licensing requirements) even though the 1999 season was well underway. He finished an impressive fifth in his first professional race. After a few years of gaining experience Roger won the AMA Supersport title in 2007For Roger Hayden, his AMA Superbike career just keeps getting better and better. Most recently, Hayden had an outstanding campaign last season and finished on the podium in all but three rounds resulting in a second-place finish in the championship. Prior to that he raced the premier class for one of Suzuki's support teams and really began to come into his own. In 2012, Hayden picked up his first-ever Superbike victory and pole position. Winning championships is a Hayden tradition and one Roger fully intends to continue.
