FULL SEND AT A WILD ISLE OF MAN TT 2026

Published On:: 07/06/2026

Dunlop breaks more records, Hickman scores three podiums, McGuinness marks 30 years, and Monster Energy brings the island to life

The 2026 Isle of Man TT delivered everything that makes the Mountain Course the most demanding road race on earth. Speed. Pressure. Uncertainty. Emotion. A weather-hit schedule tested riders, teams and fans throughout a challenging fortnight, but once again the TT produced the stories that make it unlike anything else in motorsport.

On track, our athletes Michael Dunlop, Peter Hickman and John McGuinness once again underlined why they are main characters in the modern TT story. While Davey Todd’s absence was felt across the paddock after the reigning Senior TT winner was ruled medically unfit to compete.

Off track, we brought the noise with one of the biggest fan activations yet, keeping fans fuelled with ice-cold cans, sampling, tattoo artists, barbers, a wheel change challenge and nonstop energy in the Nobles Park Fan Zone.

Dunlop adds to the legend

Michael Dunlop came into TT 2026 already the most successful rider in the event’s history.

The Ballymoney rider was untouchable in the Monster Energy Supersport TT races, taking victory in both outings aboard his Ducati Panigale V2. Dunlop won Race 1 by more than 24 seconds from Dean Harrison, before backing it up with another commanding win in Race 2, this time ahead of Harrison and Peter Hickman.

Dunlop also dominated the Carole Nash Sportbike TT, winning on his Paton S1-R-650 and setting the best lap of the race at 124.530mph.

In the big-bike classes, Dunlop remained right in the mix, finishing third in the RST Superbike TT and fifth in the shortened Milwaukee Senior TT. Another huge week. Another reminder that no rider on the Mountain Course carries a greater threat across more classes.

Hickman returns to the podium

Peter Hickman’s return to the Isle of Man was one of the biggest stories of TT 2026, and the Monster BMW Motorrad rider delivered a statement race week.

Hickman finished second in both the RST Superbike TT and the Milwaukee Senior TT, placing him back on the podium in the two headline big-bike races. He also added third place in both Monster Energy Supersport TT races and fourth in the Sportbike TT.

Across a difficult and constantly changing TT, Hickman’s consistency, speed and resilience stood out. After missing the previous year through injury, he was immediately back among the elite.

McGuinness marks 30 years on the Mountain

John McGuinness’ 30th anniversary TT was one of the emotional highlights of the fortnight.

The 23-time TT winner rolled down Glencrutchery Road once again as one of the most loved figures in road racing, and still showed the pace and determination that made him a legend.

McGuinness finished fifth in the RST Superbike TT, a standout result in his anniversary year, and followed it with 11th in the Senior TT. Three decades after his debut, the Morecambe Missile remains part of the very fabric of the TT.

Todd’s absence felt

Davey Todd arrived at TT 2026 expected to be one of the major contenders, but the reigning Senior TT winner was ruled medically unfit to race.

It was a huge loss for the event and for our road racing line-up. Todd has become one of the defining riders of the new TT generation, and while he could not compete, his presence remained an important part of the paddock story – taking to the mic in live commentary duties.

Fan Zone Energy

Away from the racing, we delivered one of the biggest activations of the event.

The Monster Energy Fan Zone area became a must-visit destination throughout TT fortnight, with thousands of fans stopping by for cold cans, and to check out the giveaways, tattoo artists, barbers, and the wheel change challenge - where fans raced against the clock to swap the rear wheel of a superbike.

James Chawke wins the Monster Energy People’s Challenger Award

TT 2026 also celebrated the wider paddock through the Monster Energy People’s Challenger Award.

Voted for by the public, the 2026 award went to James Chawke, who beat Jonathan Perry, Baz Furber and Timothee Monot to the honour.

Chawke competed across the solo classes and delivered another determined TT campaign, including 27th in the RST Superbike TT, 28th in both Supersport races, and 22nd in the Sportbike TT. The award recognises athletes who embody the determination, commitment and spirit that continue to define the TT, making Chawke a worthy recipient.

Until next year

TT 2026 was difficult, disrupted and weather affected. But it was also unforgettable.

Dunlop added more wins to his incredible TT racing CV. Hickman returned to the podium. McGuinness celebrated 30 years on the Mountain Course. Todd’s absence reminded everyone how fine the margins are.

Another full-send fortnight on the island, and we’ll be ready when the Mountain Course calls again in 2027.
