Tosha Schareina wins the 40th edition of Spain’s famous Baja Aragon
Monster Energy/Honda HRC Rally Team racer defends his 2022 & ‘23 titles with the Prologue victory + three stage wins to top KTM’s Junior Edgard Canet

Schareina, hailing from Valencia, would set the pace from the start of the Baja Aragon, winning the 5.83km Prologue, then capturing three stage wins of 181, 163 and the 162km final stage, the Torrijo del Campo-Cella special. And he admitted that this was one of the harder Baja Aragon competitions in recent years, covering nearly 800 kilometers of rough terrain through the regions of Jiloca, Teruel and Gea de Albarracin.
“It has been really, really hard. Kilometers of rocks and slow areas at times,” said Schareina. “So it was not easy for a rally bike, of course. The course, behind the cars, was very, very broken. So the key was to keep calm and go smoothly on the bike – and not give 100-percent all the time to avoid making crashes, because it was pretty dangerous.”
The victory on Sunday was extra special for Schareina in that it was his third Baja Aragon victory in a row.
“Super special for me and the Honda HRC Rally Team and for Monster,” added Schareina. “I think this victory was the best way for me to thank my sponsors and the people that support me.”

Up next… Tosha Schareina and his Honda HRC Rally Teammates return to action on the 2024 FIM World Rally-Raid Championship tour in Morocco for the fifth and final chapter of this year’s series – the Rallye Du Maroc – Oct. 5-11.
