250 West Supercross Series Ramps Back Up In Seattle

Published On:: 22/03/2024

Monster Energy racers Levi Kitchen (Pro Circuit/Kawasaki) and Jordon Smith (Star Racing/Yamaha) sit 1st/2nd in the overall WSX standings after five rounds.

As Monster Energy AMA Supercross rolls back across the country to the western states – Seattle, Wash., to be exact – action pics back up with the hotly contested 250 Western Regional Supercross (WSX) class. And at the top of that class you’ll find Monster Energy’s Levi Kitchen (Pro Circuit/Kawasaki) and Jordon Smith (Star Racing/Yamaha) in 1st and 2nd places, separated by a mere four points (106 to 102 in favor of Kitchen).

Through five rounds of Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250 WSX racing, Kitchen has amassed an impressive four podium finishes – including a victory at the Anaheim 2 round. And for his part, Smith has been darn near as successful, winning in San Francisco and scoring two other podium finishes.

250 WSX Standings (through five rounds)

Levi Kitchen (1st overall, 106 points)

  • 1st Anaheim 2
  • 2nd Glendale & San Francisco
  • 3rd Anaheim 1

Jordon Smith (2nd overall, 102 points)

  • 1st San Francisco
  • 2nd Anaheim 1
  • 3rd San Diego

Also running in the 250 WSX top five (5th with 74 points) is Monster Energy-backed Jo Shimoda (Honda). Shimoda’s scored a podium (3rd @ Glendale) and four 4th place finishes - just a click off the podium. A 22nd place at San Francisco is the only things keeping Shimoda out of the top three.

Kitchen’s overall 250 WSX lead, coupled with Cameron McAdoo’s (Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki) lead in the 250 ESX series, gives Monster Energy the top spot in both Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250 classes as the series hits Round 11 (of 17) this weekend.
