Blurton leads ‘em through the rocks and Jones across the desert as Monster Energy dominates the UTV class standings at the legendary off-road race. Also atop the box… Casey Currie & Shannon Campbell add a 1st-2nd Open UTV finish in the rocks; Vaughn Gittin Jr. & Loren Healy win $50K KOH “Every Man Challenge”; RJ Anderson & NOS’ Adam Lunn win Unlimited Buggy 1 in Desert class.
Results are in from California’s famed Johnson Valley off-road area, home of the legendary ULTRA4 Progressive King of the Hammers, powered by Optima Batteries (KOH) event. And Monster Energy racers have again posted some excellent results as the 17th running of the KOH comes to a close in “Hammertown.”
Leading the way for Monster Energy with victories in the UTV Desert Stock and UTV Desert Prologue Stock was Dustin Jones. And joining Jones in the UTV winner’s circle in the KOH’s famous rock courses were Phil Blurton, who won the Pro Mod UTV class and Casey Currie, who was victorious in Open UTV.
Also claiming victory were Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Loren Healey, who defended their 4600 Stock Class championship in a Ford Bronco in KOH’s “Every Man Challenge” race – claiming the $50,000 purse for their efforts.
