The term legend can often be overused but in the case of Joan ‘Bang Bang’ Barreda, it truly applies. The Spanish racer is a veteran of no fewer than 11 Dakar Rallies and in that time he’s taken 30 stage victories - the third most of any motorcyclist in the history of the storied race. A five-time Spanish Baja winner, he’s also won notable races in the US, Egypt, Qatar, China and Morocco and every single time he boards a bike he is capable of delivering huge results. He’s won at least one stage at the Dakar every year since 2012 and now he’s joined the Hero Motorsport team in time for the 2024 race, where he will be amongst the favourites for a medal. Stoked to have you back on board, Joan!
