18 year-old Alex Marquez is a brand new member of the Monster Energy family after stepping up to the Moto2 category in 2015 with Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Racing.
The Spanish speedster has spent three years in Moto3 and got better every year, eventually conquering the title in 2014 after an epic season-long battle with Alex Miller that saw Marquez’s stock go through the roof.
His first season in Moto3 saw him compete in just 11 races but he showed glimpses of the class and ability that makes him such a hot property, and in 2013 he finished just outside of the top three aboard his KTM.
Last season he won three races and hit the podium 10 times on his way to lifting the championship, meaning him and brother Marc became the first brothers to ever lift Moto GP world championships.
If his career so far is anything to go by then Alex has a huge future in the sport and he’ll be looking to make waves in Moto2 in 2015.
