The unlikely muddy surface of Valkenswaard is the terrain in the Netherlands for motocrossers. The course has the ability to push the riders beyond their comfort zone. MXGP is generally regarded as one of the most debilitating and demanding motorsport disciplines.
To still hold a Grand Prix in the land of the Motocross of Nations winner, an agreement was finally reached with the Eurocircuit in Valkenswaard. The 2020 World Championships will start in Matterley Basin, Great Britten on the 1st of March and will be coming to the Netherlands on the 8th of March.
In 2018 we will look back on a winter-like MXGP, where thick coats, gloves and hats were essential. In 2019 it was a world of difference in terms of temperature. During the weekend the wonderful spring sun came out and we were able to enjoy it the entire weekend. It is a 50% 50% chance for 2020, weather or no waether, the riders will go for it again this year.
