MX OPEN 2018, The International Slovak Motocross Championship series, will take place on six tracks throughout Slovakia. The start of 2018 season is inevitably coming, as first outing will take place in mid-April on Gbely circuit, followed by traditional 1st May meeting in Myjava. The only Eastern-Slovak event will be held in Mníšek nad Hnilcom, the newcomer in the calendar being a meeting in Velké Uherce. The big finals will take place in Šenkvice. After last season‘s success, the production company ESX media is set to prepare more content for both riders and fans. MX OPEN will accommodate a number of top riders from Slovakia, Czechia, Hungary and Poland. The official broadcaster of all races is DIGI sport TV. Both junior and adult visitors will enjoy the FUN zone (x-box MXGP, photo shootings with bikes, signature events...) the Monster Energy show and especially the great racing on high-quality tracks.
“We want to lure good racers, dedicated fans and respectable motocross partners and sponsors. The promotion of Slovakian motocross races was taboo until last year. We had to make our own way to satisfy our partners, SMF motorcycle federation, the riders and the fans. We grew up with every passing event and now we are happy to announce the start of the second season. This year we agreed to cooperate with DIGI Sport TV, which will broadcast all six MX OPEN events. Another piece of good news is the enlistment of top racers from both Slovakia and surrounding countries like Filip Neugebauer (CZ), Bence Szvoboda (HU) or the best Slovakian rider, Richard Sikyňa. Thanks to media coverage during last season, some of the riders were able to establish ties with powerful partners, earning themselves some quality bikes and equipment. We are raising the awareness about motocross and we can already see the difference in rider and team behavior. This is the way to go.” Said ESX Media’s René Rázek, the promoter of MX OPEN series.
“In terms of improvements and innovations, this year we decided to focus on youth. Our juniors will have the opportunity to try out small racing bikes directly during the events. The training course, awesome bikes and experienced instructors will be waiting for them. Ordinary boys from the crowd should have the opportunity to discover this beautiful sport - next year they could be riding in junior categories. We definitely want to keep the FUN ZONE with comfortable seats, X-Box consoles, and the OFFICIAL STORE, selling official t-shirts, jackets, hats, cups etc. All the official events like Monster Energy shows or rider meetings will take place there. With professional track branding and grid girls., we want to build special atmosphere similar to MXGP vibe.”
