El Salvador’s Punta Roca is a world-class wave, but during the waiting period for the 2022 Surf City El Salvador Pro, conditions were abysmal. They didn’t flinch, and devoured the sub-par conditions, and their opponents, straight to the podium.
Back from injury, Yago Dora joined the crew in Central America and launched a couple of the most impressive airs of the entire season. He’d end up falling in the Round of 16 to teammate Filipe Toledo, who used his precision blade work to make sashimi of the wobbly right point break. With nearly every heat in the excellent range, he was destined for the finals.
