Keen to get back behind the starting gate, and perhaps more importantly, to string together an entire AMA season in 2016, Adam Cianciarulo’s total and absolute focus is on the rapidly approaching New Year and the racing it will bring. One of the most heralded amateur motocross riders in the history of the sport – his eleven AMA Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championships back up this declaration – Cianciarulo, basically, went from minicycle prodigy to full-on Team Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki factory rider. The native of Port Orange, Florida fulfilled his promise quickly, winning the very first AMA 250cc East Region Supercross race he lined up for in 2014. Seemingly off to a spectacular start in what was his rookie supercross season, Cianciarulo was soon plagued by injuries which, for all intents and purposes, took him out of the action in 2015. However, now he’s back and he’s healthy and he’s ready to prove to all that he’s a champion. ‘I’ve never stopped believing in myself,” said Cianciarulo. “I know what I’m capable of. It’s just about me executing it. Until I do, until I do win races, until I do win championships and all that, anything I say, it’s just talk. I need to back it up with my actions and I can assure you I’m going to do everything in my power to make all this a reality.”
