Don’t call him the new kid! Justin Cooper has been crushing it for years. Before making his pro debut in 2017, the New York native shook up the amateur ranks with two AMA National Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Championships and nine major amateur motocross championships. The rookie from Cold Spring Harbor also received the coveted Nicky Hayden AMA Motocross Horizon Award for his breakout performances on the am circuit – and cranked up the heat even higher as a pro. Known for his high racing IQ and finding the hole shot even in the tightest scrambles, Cooper has proven a constant force on the world stage. Riding for the Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing 250 team with his signature #32 plate, he clinched third place overall in the AMA 250MX Championship back-to-back in 2018 and 2019. After winning the 2020 Supercross season opener in Anaheim, Cooper battled an injury but still took the top spot at Thunder Valley. His 2021 season is back on track after a 250 Supercross Main Event win at Arlington, where he also put down the fastest qualifying times and led every single round of racing. Surprised? We’re not!
