Speaking moments after he wrapped it up, Tai said: “I don’t even know what to say, all the hard work I put in all year has paid off and it’s just the best feeling. It’s just the most awesome feeling, to win it again feels every bit as good as the first one did. “I’ve got to thank my team, they’re the best in the world and they work so hard and it’s all come together. I made some mistakes last year, I didn’t work as hard as I should but I got back this season and I’ll work even harder next year.

“My engine tuner, my sponsors, everyone is part of it and I couldn’t do it without them. I can go back to Australia for the last round knowing I’m the champ and just enjoy it, all my mates are flying over from Perth to come and watch and it’s going to be amazing to lift the trophy in front of them.“This is what we race for, to be the best in the world. I’m going to party hard tonight and in Australia but then it’s on to next year and I’m going to be fitter, faster, stronger and better again. But it’s going to be a good party first!”
