It`s easy to get caught up in all the hoopla of X Games, Dew Tour and the Olympics. But for Clayton Vila, there’s more to freeskiing than contests. Rather than terrain parks and halfpipe that most freeskiers frequent, Clayton and his crew spend their time in cities and other urban areas, looking for rails, walls and drops to film their movies on. The new England-native is used to the harsh winters of the East, so the late-nights and 3 AM, freezing street sessions don’t faze him. No helmets, no medical staff, no warming tents, no crowds and, well, no comforts. And that`s how Clayton likes it. He’s raw, gritty and determined. He`s on the front line of street skiing and that`s just the way he likes it.
