It’s been a year of blood, sweat and a helluva lot of hard work but Tai Woffinden is officially the Speedway World Champion. Going into the penultimate round in Torun, Poland he needed to make sure he stayed within three points of Greg Hancock’s score and they got exactly the same - making Tai the champ for the second time in three years.
Some of the biggest names in world speedway made the pilgrimage to the South of England on Wednesday to race in a benefit match for injures star Darcy Ward.
