In This Moment’s “Beautiful Tragedy” 10 year anniversary and U.S. tour

Mar 232017

In This Momen’s debut album “Beautiful Tragedy” turns 10 this week. The album was released on March 20, 2007 through Century Media Records and the title track was subsequently released as a single along with a music video. "I kept thinking of these funerals where there are family members who haven't talked to each other for years. And then, when they lose someone, suddenly everyone loves each other. Sometimes, something dark brings out something beautiful." vocalist Maria Brink recaps from the making of the video. Beautiful Tragedy broke into the top 40 Active Rock singles chart.

Beautiful Tragedy’s success led to a solid year of touring the US, Europe, and Japan alongside bands such as Within Temptation, Walls of Jericho, and Lacuna Coil. This momentum also saw In This Moment secure opening slots for Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, and Rob Zombie at the end of 2007 which boosted their profile in the heavy music and metal scene.

In This Moment will be heading out on the road in the U.S. next month for another theatrical run dubbed the “Half God Half Devil” tour. Diverse support acts Motionless In White, Avatar and Gemini Syndrome will join the band for the entire run. The tour will also include festival stops at Monster Energy’s Fort Rock, Welcome To Rockville and Carolina Rebellion.
