Speed, finesse, and technique: International MTB downhill superstar Connor Fearon is the full package. Born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, Connor spent all his free time as a youngster riding his bike. The need for speed soon became a full-blown addiction, with early success in the junior leagues as a positive side effect. Always going flat out on flat pedals, Connor officially arrived on the international scene after clutching a DH World Cup Podium at Leogang in 2015. Since then it’s been a barrage of Top 10 finishes for the loosest man in professional downhill racing. Then again, competition isn’t everything: Connor’s segment in the GAMBLE film, showing his adrenaline-charged annihilation of British Columbia’s burliest trails, is already considered a modern-day classic in MTB circles. Get inside Connor’s high-speed mindset in the 2020 documentary ‘Between the Races’ and prepare to be surprised: Behind the aggressive and super speedy riding style lies a humble and soft-spoken young athlete who appreciates every aspect of living the professional MTB life. The pandemic may have put a damper on his race season, but Connor has already announced: “I missed being at the big races in 2020, but I’ve never been more keen to head overseas with the team and get back to work!”
