24-year-old Esteve ‘Tito’ Rabat is the third member of the Monster Energy backed Marc VDS Racing Team and looks like he’s in for a huge 2014.
While some racers charge through the classes seamlessly winning everything before them, some have to wait a bit longer and make gradual improvements and that is exactly what Tito has done so far in his career.
He debuted in the 125cc class at the age of 15, in 2006, and then spent five more years there before moving up to Moto 2 with the FTR Team in 2011. The Catalan racer has continued to get better and better ever since - he finished 10th in his rookie year and then 7th the year after.
2013 was Tito’s real breakthrough year though, he won three races and nailed seven more podiums on his way to 3rd place overall and this year he has started in awesome fashion.
He rode an incredible race in Qatar to take the season-opening victory and he’s one of the favourites for this year’s championship - something he has firmly in his sights.
