STARS TURN OUT FOR DARCY

The race saw Team Monster, led by Darcy’s best buddy Chris Holder and triple word champ Greg Hancock, take on Maciej Janowski’s Team Magic and the racers served up a treat on track as Darcy watched on. Darcy’s private healthcare is expensive and he needs all the financial aid he can, and the fact that 14 of the world’s best riders turned out for free shows the respect for the man known as ‘D-Dub’. As well as GP stars like Holder, Hancock, Janowski, Troy Batchelor & Andreas Jonsson, Polish wonder kids Patryk Dudek and Przemyslaw Pawlicki both flew over specially and several of Darcy’s racing friends lined up too.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Darcy took to the mic to thank his family, friends and supporters and showed incredible bravery to head onto the track in his wheelchair. A huge sum of over £50,000 was raised at first count and it all goes towards helping D-Dub now and in the future as he embarks on his toughest ever race. He smashed every challenge he ever faced on a speedway bike and we’ve got no doubts that he’s going to smash this one too.
