Hearty dreams and heart break were two sights at a capacity Sam Boyd Stadium last weekend for the finale to the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross series. The 250SX West championship was decided in thrilling fashion in Las Vegas as Star Racing Yamaha’s Dylan Ferrandis took his second victory of the season and a crash and 20th place for red plate holder Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo saw the standings swing dramatically towards the Frenchman.
“I said to my mechanic just tell me what place AC is, that was all I was focussing on,” former MX2 grand prix winner and Motocross of Nations victor Ferrandis said. “He showed me he was 4, 3 and then the next lap 10, and I was like ‘wow, this is really happening’. It was crazy. I did my best start of the full season tonight and it was the best moment.”
