Keegan Swenson 21 in 24 Hours

Mar 032022

Reigning US National Cross-Country Mountain bike champion and Monster Hydro athlete Keegan Swenson took on his first-ever 24-hour solo race attempt this weekend at the largest 24-hour MTB race in America, the Epic Rides 24-hours of Old Pueblo. Located just outside of Tucson, nearly 10,000 racers and fans descended upon a small section of the desert to undertake a daunting task and race across the desert for 24 solid hours. Swenson was faced with fierce competition, ultimately dominating the field, and not only reaching the top step of the podium but setting a new course record of 21 laps, 340 miles, 22,936 ft elevation. Swenson’s victory was only the beginning of this year’s schedule, next month he will be traveling to South Africa to take on the Cape Epic Mountain bike stage race.
